Acqua Segreta is on the ground floor, beside a side canal of the kind you come upon by mistake. It is not a house with a water view, and that is worth saying plainly: the water is barely glimpsed — perhaps that is why it stays with you. A boat passes now and then, then the silence returns.
Two separate sleeping areas make it right for three travelling together who each want their own space. The inner courtyard, on the opposite side, keeps the house cool even in summer.
